About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and
one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest. The host said to Forbes, “I am going to
ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil
does the U.S. have in the ground?” Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, “more
than all the Middle East put together.” Please read below.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only
scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a
revised report (hadn’t been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in
this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota , western South Dakota , and
extreme eastern Montana ….. check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska ‘s Prudhoe
Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign
oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion
barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable… at $107 a barrel,
we’re looking at a resource base worth more than $5..3 trillion.

“When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see
their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea..” says Terry Johnson, the Montana
Legislature’s financial analyst.

“This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found
in the past 56 years,” reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It’s a
formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the
‘Bakken.’ It stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and
into Canada . For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead
end. Even the ‘Big Oil’ companies gave up searching for major oil wells
decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up
the Bakken’s massive reserves…. and we now have access of up to 500
billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels
will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years
straight. And if THAT didn’t throw you on the floor, then this next one
should – because it’s from 2006!

largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION
barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In
three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this
motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders,
than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

- 18-times as much oil as Iraq

- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait

- 22-times as much oil as Iran

- 500-times as much oil as Yemen

- and it’s all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the
environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America
become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of
people dictate our lives and our economy…..WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in
this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION
barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in
the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don’t think ‘OPEC’ will drop its price – even with this find? Think
again!
It’s all about the competitive marketplace, – it has to. Think OPEC just
might be funding the environmentalists?

Please join me in remembering a great icon of
the entertainment community. The Pillsbury
Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection
and trauma complications from repeaded pokes
in the belly. He was 70
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased
coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay
their respects, including Mrs. Buttersworth,
Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty
Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain
Crunch. The grave site was piled high wiht
flours.
Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly
described Doughboy as a man who never
knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy
rose quickly in show business, but his later life
was filled with turnovers. He was considered a
very smart cookie, but wasted much of his
dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being
a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old
man and was considered a positive roll model
for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough,
three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and
Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven.
He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop
Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20
minutes.

The Problem with Google Wave

When I got my wave account three people in my contacts list showed up in my wave contacts list. One of them was a friend I knew at Google. I sent her a wave about a month ago and haven’t heard back. The problem I suspect is the same problem I have with it which is I don’t want to bother checking yet another inbox.

If Google can’t get their own employees to use this thing, how are they going to get the rest of us to do it. IMHO, no one is going to use this thing until they integrate it with email.

WalMart Cash Back Scam

All types of scams are out there, especially in this economic climate. Beware Folks!

I got this email today and decided this has to be forwarded. People have to check their receipts at the till, no matter how busy it is. It is you who will pay if not, not the cashier and definitely not the store.This is especially a good thing to watch for with holiday shopping coming up. Snopes.com says this is UNDETERMINED, but definitely worth knowing.

It happened at Wal-Mart (Supercenter Store #1279, 10411 N Freeway 45, Houston, TX 77037) a month ago. I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150, & I glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a cash-back of $40. I told her I didn’t request a cash back & to delete it. She said I’d have to take the $40 because she couldn’t delete it. I told her to call a supervisor.

Supervisor came & said I’d have to take it. I said NO! Taking the $40 would be a cash advance against my Discover & I wasn’t paying interest on a cash advance!!!!! If they couldn’t delete it then they would have to delete the whole order. So the supervisor had the cashier delete the whole order & re-scan everything! The second time I looked at the electronic pad before I signed & a cash-back of $20 popped up. At that point I told the cashier & she deleted it. The total came out right. The cashier agreed that the electronic pad must be defective. Obviously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered me the $40 at the beginning. Can you imagine how many people went through before me & at the end of her shift how much money she pocketed?

Just to alert everyone. My co worker went to Milford, DE Wal-Mart last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her along and didn’t give her a receipt. She asked the cashier for a receipt and the cashier was annoyed and gave it to her. My co worker didn’t look at her receipt until later that night. The receipt showed that she asked for $20 cash back. SHE DID NOT ASK FOR CASH BACK! My co-worker called Wal-Mart who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money. She then called her niece who works for the bank and her niece told her this. This is a new scam going on. The cashier will key in that you asked for cash back and then hand it to her friend who is the next person in line.

Please, please, please check your receipts right away when using credit or debit cards! This is NOT limited to Wal-Mart, although they are the largest retailer so they have the most incidents.

I wonder how many senior citizens & low income families have been, or will be, “stung” by this one?

To make matters worse…THIS SCAM CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE, at ANY RETAIL or WHOLESALE LOCATION!
